Announcing my book
Coming September 15. Preorder today!
I’m excited to introduce you to my debut book, SAYING NO TO NEW: Why New Things Are Stealing Your Time, Money, and Happiness—And How to Take Back Your Life.
It hits bookstores September 15, but you can preorder it today.
I wrote this book for anyone who wants to break free from the endless pull of novelty. If you want to…
…save money instead of splurging on new things you don’t need or even want.
…focus your time and attention on a passion project instead of drowning in new technology, gadgets, and content.
…reach an important goal instead of chasing cheap dopamine hits in the form of new material goods and new social media posts.
I’ve been working on this book for the past three years, and during that time I’ve realized that everyone seems to have their own personal version of this struggle (myself included). The allure of the new permeates the world around us, making it so hard to pin down and avoid.
I think my book can help. I combed through hundreds of research papers, articles, and books. I spoke to people struggling to break free from addiction to new stuff, like gadgets, clothing, make-up, apps, kitchen gizmos, trinkets, trends, and social media content. I interviewed dozens of experts, including neuroscientists, psychologists, philosophers, tech insiders, persuasion researchers, and even an Academy Award-winning actor.
I discovered that we are all wired to say yes to new things. That businesses hijack that evolutionary tic to hook us before we have a chance to think. But I also learned that there are simple ways to regain control over the new things in our lives.
The result is SAYING NO TO NEW. This book has changed my life for the better and I’m confident it can do the same for you. Over the coming months, I’ll be sharing with you updates, exclusive sneak peeks, presale bonuses, and more.
In the meantime, you can go to my website to learn more about the book, including how to preorder it.
Thank you for your support and interest. I can’t wait to share more.
Eric
